About Us

Who We Are

The Center for Inclusive and Security Sector Governance (CISG) is a reformist policy-oriented think tank, dedicated to advancing inclusive, accountable, and Human-security governance in fragile, transitioning, and democratic contexts. CISG works across the full security governance ecosystem state institutions, oversight bodies, local authorities, civil society, communities, and regional actors to strengthen how security is designed, governed, delivered, and overseen.

We were established in response to a critical gap in reform efforts: security policies that focus narrowly on institutions, while overlooking governance relationships, political incentives, social trust, and inclusion. CISG addresses this gap by reframing security as a public governance challenge, not only a technical or institutional one.
